Containment
Boom
Already included in several Spill
Kits (see O.P.A. 90 Spill Kit), Containment
Boom is a great
tool for the swift, accurate and certain containment of liquid
spills. Mainly applied to water borne
spills, boom is the approach for containing fast moving migratory
spills. The boom can be strung
together in any length to form a sorbent gate around spilled materials.
Since the boom floats and
is made to absorb large quantities of liquids, it can be quickly
deployed for extended periods of
time while proper clean-up takes place. Widely used by everyone
in the marine environment,
boom is also effective for those with a waste pond collection system
or bordering lakes and
streams. Advanced Environmental Solutions provides a variety
of booms all the way up to
the invincible off-shore, rough water containment boom for spills
of major proportion.
Floating Baffle Systems
Floating Baffle Systems are flow control devices used
mainly to improve the efficiency of
circulation during water treatment within a lagoon. Designed for
permanent installation these
systems are also easily removed, relocated or modified without having
to dewater the lagoon.
Very little maintenance or operator assistance is needed to maintain
desired efficiencies.
Advanced Environmental Solutions Baffle Systems are seamless (thermal
dielectric welding),
have completely enclosed floatation and underwater tension cables,
corrosion resistant
components, and flow through reinforced windows to meet varying flow
rate criteria. One
piece baffle lengths are available up to 2500 ft. to reduce assembly
hassles.
Flow/Turbidity Control Curtains
Used mainly for marine construction pollution control,
floating debris containment, wastewater
treatment, and pond flow control. Three standard configurations are
designed to control a wide
variety of wind, sea and current conditions. Available accessories
include mooring systems,
as well as navigation marker systems.
